upscale and french and newly reopened
Le Cou Cou is a bougie French Spot by acclaimed chef Daniel Rose. This Michelin starred spot is located in the super chic 11 Howard hotel, with other popular spots such as The Blond (lounge/club). We love Le Cou Cou for its elevated cuisine of course, but also for its super pretty atmosphere – you feel transported to a more regal time in Paris with old school, rustic finishes and floral decor. The vibe here can be quaint or bustling depending on whether you go for a weekday lunch or weekend dinner. For food we love the Ris de veau à l’estragon (sweetbreads, cream, tarragon, maitake mushrooms) and the Veau roti aux morilles (pennsylvania veal, morels cooked with yellow wine). They also have a good amount of veggie options on the menu. In true French fashion, the dessert menu is the highlight – we’re talking mont blancs and hazelnut choux pastries, reinvented by the pastry chef to taste even more decadent than what we’re used to. They have a limited list of 4 cocktails but they are creative and delicious – we love a mezcal + chili vibe so the La Main Danjou is our favorite. Le Cou Cou should undoubtedly be your next bougie din spot.

easy walk in and wine and vibes
Located right next to the super chic Wallsé restaurant in the heart of the West Village, we have the equally cool iykyk, wine bar section. Wallsé Wine Bar is the type of spot you can drop in unexpectedly on a later afternoon and end up staying for hours. The ambience here is relaxing and minimal, but with an elevated vibe to it. While the Wallsé restaurant boasts delicious Austrian cuisine, the wine bar has an equally impressive wine list and cocktail menu with rosés and rieslings (to name a few) from different regions of Austria. Honestly, we love a spot with a welcoming and low key feel that’s still elevated and cool at the same time – and for that we are so grateful this spot exists. And ofc, you can try small plates from the restaurant at the bar as well 🙂

cocktails and steak and regal energy
Classy, grand, and chic– that’s Hawksmoor! This regal steakhouse has the most incredible steak and food menu. They use super high quality, sustainable beef from small family-run farms to make their steaks, which has amazing flavor. Our other menu favorites include their Steelhead Crudo and Charcoal-roasted Scallops. Of course, you can’t forget dessert, especially with their mouthwatering, classic English Sticky Toffee Pudding.
Their cocktails and wine list are exceptional. We love the martinis and the “Ultimate Manhattan” (NYDC Ragtime Rye, Little City Vermouth, Cocchi Torino). If you’re feeling something a little more edgy, we recommend their “Nine Inch Nail” (Kings County Single Malt, Compass Box Artist’s Blend, Amaro, Salted Peach). Their bar is super vintage and chic– the perfect spot for a drink. Hawksmoor has the most gorgeous space, with high ceilings and elegant decor. The lounge + restaurant vibe here makes it perfect for an elevated (and boozy) evening.

peruvian and so pretty and always a good time
If you want an unforgettable dinner with guaranteed good vibes, this is where you should be. At Popular, at the PUBLIC hotel, you will experience authentic and globally inspired Peruvian cuisine crafted by award-winning chefs. We love the freshness of their food and surreal green decor. Popular has a busting energy and fun energy to it always.
Talking about food, when you visit, you HAVE to try their ceviche options; we recommend the Tuna Turatido. And make sure you also order a Pisco sour to go with it, it’s the perfect pairing – that said, you can’t go wrong with any of the cocktails here – they really know what they are doing.
